Dear Joanne,
You were not only my sister in law but also my friend. Our bond started 45 years ago when I was 16 and you were 14. Through all that time we shared many great adventures, laughs and cries. Whenever you’d text me in the middle of the night you could always count on me to answer you because I was also awake. You’d call us vampires. We had our own special way to add numbers and loved to talk about old family traditions and Italian words our families used to say. You loved Billy Joel and saw him many times in concert. I’m glad I got to see him with you even though our seats seats were so far away he looked like an ant. You always wanted to see Queen in concert and I promised I’d get us tickets the next time they came to New York. Our last and greatest adventure happened when we traveled 2 hours (in a cab with a clueless driver)to Madison Square Garden on October 12th to see Queen + Adam Lambert wearing our matching Freddie Mercury t-shirts. You had just had a painful procedure the day before, but you rallied, took pain meds, and we made it happen. It was an amazing concert and we had so much fun and craziness from the minute we left the house to get to MSG till we got you home and ready for bed. It was our last and greatest adventure that I will treasure in my heart forever. I’m so happy that we got to share that special experience together. I am going to miss you so very much. Thank you for loving my children and my grandchildren. They were truly the light of your life, especially the babies, Thea, Frankie, and Callan. Even though you couldn’t see them in person all the time you’d FaceTime. Tom loved to torture and make fun of you as a child and as an adult. He’s going to miss that. Through thick and thin he always loved you and he always will. Please rest peacefully my sweet angel and watch over us. We all love you more than words can say.

I am so sorry for your loss. JoJo was an amazing woman, great friend, awesome dog wisperer, great with kids, heart as big as the sun. She will be missed beyond more words than I can express.
