Karl,
Our world is less bright without you, but we're deeply grateful for how you enriched our lives and our organization. In my career, I've never met anyone more suited to lead our global service and support team. You truly embodied the Reuters spirit.
Your empathy and service-oriented nature were your cornerstones. You understood our customers and teams deeply, always listening and making everyone feel heard. Your meticulous preparation and insightful questions made you an outstanding problem solver, always ready to roll up your sleeves and find solutions.
As a leader, you were exceptional. You thought strategically, seeing the big picture when others got lost in details. Your proactivity and confidence were infectious, and your sense of responsibility set new standards for our organization.
Karl, what set you apart were your personal qualities. Your fearlessness in tackling tough conversations, your authenticity that earned everyone's trust, and your team spirit that made you the ultimate collaborator - these made you truly special.
Your impact on Reuters was significant. You elevated our service to new heights and inspired us all. Your legacy will continue to guide us towards excellence, empathetic leadership, and courageous problem-solving.
We miss you deeply, Karl, but your spirit will forever light our way forward.
To his family, we extend our deepest condolences. We're heartbroken for your loss. Thank you for sharing Karl with us - he was truly loved and appreciated, and his memory will forever shine in our hearts.
Rob

Dear Karl,
I will always remember you as the most wonderful and kind human being and colleague - so lucky to have got to know you. I first interacted with you shortly after I moved to New York, and you gave me such great tips to navigate my life in the new city. You were always there - be it for a personal chat, work query or customer complaint - with the same jolly attitude every time and would manage to diffuse the tension irrespective of how stressful the problem at hand was. Thank you for everything.
You will remain in our hearts forever.
Love
Swagatika

My dear Karl. You were the kind of person that was not only a job colleague; you were a friend. All these years working with you at Reuters taught me that no matter how hard was the meeting or the task you always found a funny point of view on everything. Thank you for all those chats, talks, emails, and gifs, and for making me smile every time we spoke! Your kindness was unmeasurable. The world is now different without you.
Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Karl you are one of the first people I got to know when I joined Reuters, early 2020, just before Covid really kicked off and we all started to work from home. From the very beginning I knew you were one of a kind. You brought such joy to every conversation. Whether it was work related, general chit chat, you always brought a smile to my face and SO many laugh out loud moments. The dog chat and tips about unruly beagles, the babies, burst water pipes, home improvements, Spinal Tap... there was always so much to talk about in between getting our work done. You were a truly exceptional colleague and an absolute joy to work with - I can't believe you won't be on the other end of Teams chat to make random jokes and recommend pizza places. It will take a long time to come to terms with the news of your passing, I'm shocked and so very sad. The world was a better place thanks to you and I will always think about you so fondly. I'll miss you my friend. Rest peacefully. Zoe xxx

Karl was more than just a colleague; he was a dear friend and an incredible human being. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Karl had a passion for the Marvel universe, a love for musicals, and an impressive Funko Pop collection. He was also deeply fascinated by technology and gadgets, always eager to share his enthusiasm and knowledge.
His genuine care for others, endless curiosity, and positive spirit will continue to inspire me every day. Karl, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy of compassion, friendship, and joy will live on in all of us. Rest in peace, my friend.

I work in the UK within Reuters Technology. I had never met Karl but we are one very big family within Reuters and the greater ThomsonReuters. Karl and i shared many a call / video meeting together over the years. We would all laugh and joke when appropriate and be serious when needed. Karl was such a fantastic person, colleague professional. We are all deeply shocked and saddened. Sending much love and prayers to the family and friends from myself Edge and the TR / Reuters Family.

As a child growing up I was often asked if I had siblings, I did not technically have any on my moms side of the family, but I never felt that way. That’s the beauty of a big family that you love. All of my cousins were my siblings. Karl used to lovingly pick on me like a big brother would. Sometimes I got on his nerves and he showed it and other times he protected me. He had a humor I learned to love and a love for dogs many humans could learn from. Your smile will be missed Karl. Rest in Peace and give my Mom, Scott,Grammy,Nanny and Uncle Bruce a hug.
