Obituary of Elaine M. Roach

Elaine M. Roach (Cash), passed away the evening of February 25, 2024 in her home in Mineola. NY. Born on February 24, 1938, Elaine lived a fulfilling life as a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She loved reading, watching classic movies, cooking, and sharing stories about her family history. Most of all she found true joy in being with family and sharing quality time together. Elaine was a brave warrior, especially over the past years as she fought relentlessly with her health issues with kidney disease and dialysis. Elaine is survived by her loving, caring, and devoted husband of 67 years, Mr. Arthur Roach, along with daughters; Linda Vergata (Roach) and Diane Roach, as grandson Dominic F. Vergata. She was also a loving Aunt to: Michael and Daniel Hartman and their spouses Tara and Carole and their children, and to Brian, Michael and Patricia Roach and their spouses Sheryl, Roseann, Andrew and their children. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents: Leona and Jesse Cash, her sister Judith Hartman (Cash) and her niece Jennifer Hartman, as well as grand-dogs Sparkles, Maggie, and Ms. Lily. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all she touched and loved in her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to an organization or charity that is meaningful to you, in honor of Elaine and her life.
