The door buzzer went off one day at my grandparents apartment and there she was with a pot of sauce - she had made too much and just dropped it by. Such a kind person. My grandmother Kitty always raved about how the boys were so good to her.

Carmine, Anthony and Joey,
Toni was my friend and neighbor for over thirty years. She was a pillar of the community. I always looked forward to seeing and spending time with your mom. She always had a warm heart and loving smile. She held a special place in my heart and I was blessed to know her. I remember when I was sick, she brought me meatballs and sauce. She wanted to be sure I had a meal. She was just like that. I remember drinking Baileys and toasting holidays and good times. She may be gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace, Toni, you earned it.

Mom-one of a kind-nice,thoughtful,loving woman;friend to all enemy to none.She arrived in America,at the end of WW2,not even a teenager and re-united with her family.She came from the town Ischia,Naples and resumed her life @457West35th Street in Hell's Kitchen,NYC.She met her husband,Carmine,married and had 3 sons.They set root on 77th Road in KewGardenHills.There, she was loved by her neighbors and began a lifetime of friendships with so many good people.They loved her and she loved them.She was always the card writer,gift giver,spirit lifter.She was today's version of the multi-tasker-raising her 3 sons,working,keeping her apartment immaculate and being a wife to our Dad.She was active inQoP church as a member of the Ladies Guild and helped in many Parish activities.She stood her SCG post with grace and beauty,forever proud that during her 22 years of service withe NYPD nobody was ever hurt on that busy intersection.Mom loved her only granddaughter,her nieces&nephews and of course her 3 sons.She was an excellent cook,that could whip up a meal of deliciousness at a moments' notice.Every occasion,big or small,every holiday were held at our apartment.We always kidded her that she out served many of the big name restaurants.That was her passion to see everyone happy and content and go home with leftovers.For over 14 years,she had her faithful companion,her beloved chubby,black Labrador-Desdemona,by her side.All of our lives changed soo much for the better that day Desi followed Mom&Carmine home from the store.It began a love affair for all of us.QoP Church was her other love,she was a fixture at Mass daily,a rosary reader member and a true believer in the Church's way.After an injurious fall,as well as the Covid outbreak, left her unable to attend daily,she was truly disappointed.At 89 years of age,she was aware of current events going on in the world our country and our city.She had sensible opinions on a variety of topics,believed in law&order,right from wrong and good from bad.She was a model citizen,proud to be an American-Italian.She dealt with the stress of being a 'cop-Mom',knowing her sons had a dangerous profession,but very proud that none of us tarnished the family reputation and retired with well earned pensions.She was a loving sister to AuntAnna&AuntNancy as well as UncleVinnie.Mom will be deeply missed by many in the community and has left a gaping hole in our family's lives.I will miss her tremendously.She was our rock steady go-to person.May God protect over her beautiful soul,as i know she is sitting with Him in heaven.XOXOXOXOXO
