Obituary of Cecilia Medina Bermudez

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; Cecilia Medina Bermudez returned home to Jesus on December 24^th, the eve of His birthday, which is appropriate for someone as devoted as she was to Him. Cecilia passed away at home, at the age of 90, after a long illness. She was born February 8th, 1933, in Colombia. Her parents Pedro Pablo Medina and Carmen Hernandez named her Cecilia because Pedro Pablo was a musician and wanted to honor the patron saint of musicians, St Cecilia. She took care of her parents before and after she married Jose Bermudez on October 6^th, 1963. The union brought them three children: Patricia, Sandra and Jesus Mauricio. Cecilia always made sure her family had all they needed and would go out of her way to help anyone in need, especially the poor and the sick. She loved her job at a water company in Colombia, (acueducto), but most of all she loved God and life. Her faith kept her strong throughout her life even after the loss of her son. Cecilia loved her 3 grandchildren, Tabitha, Jasmine and Diego and couldn’t believe how blessed she was when she met her great grandson Hero in 2022. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. While we are sad, today we celebrate her birthday in heaven where she can continue to help and guide us. May she rest in peace.
