Ann and I are deeply saddened by the news of Walter’s passing.
Walter and I were friends when he was a teacher and an assistant principal at IS 49; when he was a supervisor at the District Office and then a principal at DS 84.
Walter was mild-mannered, slow to anger and always a gentleman. He had to balance the needs of the students, the wants of the teachers, as well as the District Office’s political restraints and policies.
While our paths intertwined often, sadly we lost touch with him about 30 years ago.
Our love and hearts go out to “his bride” of over 50 years, Marianne, and the whole Gomoko Family.

Chris-Tony told me about this tonight. I'm sorry for the loss. He was a good guy as are you Brian and Patrick. Our lives were intertwined at the FH and I'm glad they were. I will try to give you a call tomorrow.
