Obituary
Obituary of Vincenzo Arrigo
Vincenzo was born on February 5, 1935, son of Vincenzo and Filippa in Sicily
Vincenzo fell in love with, and married Carmelina Meli in 1959. Shortly thereafter Carmelina left Sicily for America and settled in the Little Italy section of Manhattan, Elizabeth St., to be close to family and friends. Vincenzo followed shortly thereafter.
Vincenzo spent the next five decades working hard at various roles, mainly driving for Colonial Beef, and later for Charmer Industries. His top priority, however, was always supporting and loving his family, family was always first.
Vincenzo and Carmelina were blessed with four children: Maria (Rich), Salvatore (Gina), Joseph (Ria) and Rosalia (Eddie). Vincenzo is survived by his seven grandchildren: Richard (Ariana), Anthony, Erika, Andrew, Sebastian, Elena, and Joseph, and two great grandchildren: Lincoln and Brooke.
In his later years Vincenzo loved speaking with all the neighbors on 87th St.in Jackson Heights, who all formed a strong bond with him. He worked daily with the Salvation Army to help the needy in the neighborhood and was recognized for his dedication in helping others.
He will be deeply missed by all.
