Mom married her longtime love, Fred, in 1968, and was devoted to her family. She was a masterful cook who could create multi-course meals for 30 people with one day of prep, and it would be delicious. She was a shrewd businesswoman, managing a multi-generational family restaurant business. An avid bowler, she loved when her niece joined her team in the league, as they were both very competitive. She and Fred loved going out for steak dinners, and going to the beach in the summer. A life-long Yankees fan, she supported her team in good times and bad. While her music taste tended more toward Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, she loved Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” because she knew when watching a game and that song came on, that Mariano Rivera was coming in to close out the game. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, she was so proud of them all and radiated her love as she spoke about them. She was beautiful, fun, wise, disciplined, honorable, and graceful. She lost her love Fred in May 2019, after 51 years of marriage, but now they are together again as God called her home, and their lifelong partnership proves that love can last forever. We are so blessed to have her in our lives, and she lives on in our hearts for eternity.
