Raymers was a dear friend of mine whom I met at ML. He inspired me to create an "Adopt a Soldier" program to send care packages to our ML employees that were serving. Years later he told me that he was introduced to senior management through the program. It is this kind of light and love that flowed through him exponentially. Our friendship extended to spending time with his kids. Dancing in the ice cream parlor with Sam and sharing a snow tube with him, Sam, and Ethan will be one of my forever moments that will always bring a smile and a laugh. May his family be comforted by the love he shared and those that held him close in their hearts. Miss you Raymers.

It’s still hard to even imagine he’s no longer here. He’s left a long legacy in the Army as accounted by those he mentored. I feel honored to have been one of them! My condolences to his family and loved ones. You now have a remarkable angel to forever watch over you.

I knew Ray since January 2009. I had recently returned from a tour in Iraq, and joined the 75th Mission Command out in Fort Dix, NJ. Getting to know Ray while working with him developed into a kinship, as not only a brother-in-arms that I served with, but a good friend. When I was going to be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and Ray was no longer in the FT Dix vicinity, he still drove down from New York to share in the experience. I never forgot that.
I was very lucky to have Ray participate in my promotion ceremony to Colonel on 22 AUG 2021, just days ago. Having him there with the rest of a small contingent of 75th MC brothers was quite memorable. We rehearsed together in the heat and humidity, and he was a real sport coming down in his (Class B) dress blue uniform, as I suggested to my peers.
After speaking with him, all of my family members and friends thought he was a "really good guy". Ray, of course also told us that to maintain good health, we must all drink hot water with ginger, cloves, and parsley. He was quite stern in emphasizing the importance of drinking this daily. We ultimately had to agree to make this, or he'd never stop pushing the subject! ;)
Ray was a "really good guy", as my family phrased it. I am just so sorry that he has moved on. Everyone that knew him will miss him.

It still hasn't registered that you are gone. I remember when we first met at Merrill Lynch. You took me under your wings. You guided me threw all of my up & downs. We ate, we laughed and talk about everything. I thank G-d for allowing you to be my friend. I will miss you. I will never forget you.
