Obituary of Joseph A. Silvestri

Joseph Anthony Silvestri, 89 of Floral Park, NY formerly of Corona, NY passed peacefully on August 1, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Carmela and his cherished children Linda Ann and Joseph (Lisa). He was the proud grandfather of Vanessa (Anthony), Christopher, Joseph (Gianna) and Antoinette (Lusiano). Joseph was also an extraordinary great-grandfather to Antonio, Michael, Alexia, Christopher and Joseph. He was a Korean Air Force War Veteran, Maître d’ of the Copacabana and a restauranteur of various establishments in Manhattan. He will ultimately be remembered for the selfless love and devotion to his family. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Hedwig’s RC Church on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
