Hello Uncle,
Thank you for all the great memories which I look back on now with great adulation. You were a positive influence on me and many of the youth as the chaperon on many of the church trips at Epiphany and Long Island Mar Thomas church, even when our own parents wouldn't have any time for us. I am fortunate to have seen you when Matt bought his house in Wantagh. I know you were very proud of him as you wouldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. I will miss seeing you and hope to see you again one day, perhaps as the chaperon in the next life. God bless you and rest in peace knowing that you have left many good memories and raised very good kids that will carry your name forward. Rest in peace.
Ajai Thomas and family.

Mathew George Koleth (Kochumon) & family (Aleyamma's son from Kuwait):
Achenkunjuchayan was truly a man of God. Absolutely God fearing person, full of love and compassion for His dear ones, without expecting anything in return other than love. A vaccum which can never be filled. We will truly miss him in this world. But will surely meet Achenkunjuchayan on that beautiful shore. Standing in prayer with Ponnammamma, Saji, Suja and Suma.
2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Romans 8:37-39 KJV
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I never knew anybody else's Father who could just hang with the guys like him. He was a source of calm and wisdom. Always happy to give advice (but only if asked). I never once saw him get upset about anything. I will always remember his warm smile and comforting presence. My sincere condolences to his family, here and all over the world.

From Georgekutty Achan Kattanam: Achenkunj was my beloved younger brother whom I loved very much. He would often call me and cared for me very much. He always lovingly called me Georgechan. Even though we would disagree on some things we always made up. He spoke to me 3 days before he died and it makes me so sad to think that I will never hear his voice in this life again until we meet in heaven.

In loving memory of my beloved Uncle Achenkunjchayan;
Words cannot express the devastation on the untimely loss.
As a child, I had only heard about Achenkunjchayan from my Mom. She used to tell me how loving and kind he was. She used to say among the siblings, they were very close and about fun times and when he used to carry her on his shoulder. I had the opportunity to meet him for the first time on his last visit to Kuwait. My brother and me had a very good time with him. Although his visit was just for a couple of days, he had left a lasting impression on me by his selfless sense of love and affection. On a more recent note, I again had the opportunity to experience first hand Achenkunjchayan's love and kindness in my visit to New York in 2019 ( after the demise of my beloved wife Susan). Following which he was instrumental in all the decision taken in my life since then. He has been my only source of comfort, and advise, a FATHER FIGURE to me. He spoke to me regularly and was genuinely worried about our welfare (my son's and mine).
In February my mom joined us in Bengaluru, his love and affection towards his siblings was immediately evident as he used to call more frequent. Achenkunjchayan used to advise her on how to go about things and my Mom used to tell me to do according to what he had advised her. She is heartbroken and sad at the untimely demise of Achenkunjchayan.
Let me cut short with a passage from the bible which is a fitting tribute to Achenkunjchayan' life "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day......" (2Timothy 4: 7,8). Although he is not with us physically he will always live on in our hearts till the end of time. Let us take consolation that we will meet him again on the beautiful shores of heaven one day.
Aleyamma, Nehemiah and Denis.

Padma and I knew Thomas Mathew( Achankunju) and Ponnamma for more than half a century. We were close friends even in Kerala and migrated to US same time together and subsequently our children grew up together. We have profound admiration for his God loving and helping nature.
We live in Tampa, Florida and we had a call from Achankunju of his up coming visit to Florida in December 2020 with his son Saji and coming to visit us too. In fact that happened on January 2nd of this year. We all had a very happy time together.
He and Saji mentioned of their desire to move to Florida and we were excited in their decision and was looking forward to it.
We Are shocked and stunned by the sad news Achankunju is no more with us . Never knew that was the last time seeing him and saying Good bye. He was a blessed and left with out giving any burden to others. He merged with Almighty very peacefully. Achankuju is in our hearts as long as we live. We will remember what he said during his visit " our real strength is our willingness to care for and support each other". Let his soul Rest in Peace.
Sorry we are unable to join the funeral services because of the present epidemic.
Our heart felt condolences to Ponnamma,Suja,Saji and Suma.

I’ve know Mr.Mathew (Matts Father ) for as long as I’ve known Matt which is 1990. It was obvious even to an outsider like myself that Matt’s Dad was a very good man and role model and they had a great father / son relationship. I always enjoyed watching them interact, with Matt’s comedic , sarcastic approach along with his fathers practical and straightforward attitude. At least that’s how it appeared to me. He left my friends life too soon , however left an everlasting impression that will long live in his son. May God bless them both.

I wish I had more time with you. There are so many more words still left to be said. So many more "I LOVE YOUs" that I need to tell you. I miss you with every part of my being and I love you so much. You were in my thoughts so much over the last two years, I wish I would have called you each time I thought of you.
The best memories in my life have you in them. You were always there for me. If I needed anything you would drive or fly to wherever I was to help. The days you spent with me in Cali were so calming for me. You had a way of always making me take a step back, take a deep breath and just relax. I miss the days of coming home from work and seeing you relaxing in the rocking chair in the backyard.
I still cannot comprehend that you are gone. I keep expecting you to come walking up the basement steps, peer around the kitchen corner and when you see me, give me that big smile of yours. What I would give to see your smile one more time. I love you dad, you live forever in my heart.

RIP Dad. You were a great man loved by all. Everyone who knew you is devastated. I get calls everyday from people telling me what an impact you had on their lives. You were the love of my life. We were so close to finally getting out of New York and be in sunny Florida. I remember high fiving each other every morning when we were in Florida just because we were so excited about the future. It was great to be with you everyday. I will join you in heaven one day and we can ride off into the sunset like we planned.
