Obituary of Babu I. Singh

Babu Indrajeet Singh, commonly known to the world as “Wilton,” was born March 27th, 1936 in #7 Village West Coast Berbice, Guyana; to the late Ramjit Singh and Jane Morrison. His Journey came to an end on August 23rd, 2019 when he went home to be with the Lord.
 
After attending Guyana Technical Institute where he studied to become an auto mechanic, Wilton’s life changed suddenly after he met his wife Parvati (Lillian) Devi Seecharan on February 18th, 1964. Both later got engaged on September 18th, 1965 and then married on December 18th, 1966. Wilton and Lillian were both blessed with 2 children, Andrae Singh and Aretha Singh.
 
Back in Guyana, Wilton was always very kind and generous to others in his community. He always gave to the poor, helped the elders in their time of need, and they all grew to love and respect him tremendously.
 
After migrating to the United States, Wilton and his family settled down in New York where they raised their kids. He played a very instrumental role in his household and their extended family members who will always remain grateful for all he has done for them.
 
Like many others, Wilton had his struggles with his well-being and his health; but that never wavered his love for his family. He was known to be a very strong-willed person and once he made a decision; there was no changing his mind.
 
A few of Wilton’s character traits and treasures that made him so special was his kind heartedness; caring spirit; compassion; willingness; faithfulness; hardworking ability and most of all selflessly putting others before himself.  Wilton was always a strong person and this strength carried him as he persevered all the way through his later days.
 
Wilton Singh left behind a lifelong legacy and most importantly his beloved wife Lillian; his children Andrae and Aretha, his grandchildren Nehemiah, Andrew & Elyssa, his daughter-in-law, his loving siblings, nieces & nephews, family and friends.
