Genevive, Marissa, and Mariella
My deepest condolences. I know how much you are hurting. For almost my entire life I knew him as my Zio Armando. Even after I figured out we were not family by blood, it did not matter. Zio Armando and all of you are part of my family. You are family by choice.
It has been a long time since I last saw Zio, but he is indelibly in my mind. I have wonderful memories of all of us together. I can see his smiling face. I can hear his joyful laughter. He and my father, the other Armando, always joking, enjoying each other’s company. They were very much like brothers.
