I only met Elaine once but could tell she was a special lady. I enjoyed our conversation. A beautiful soul. May she rest in peace.

One of the sweetest ladies in my life. She had a heart of gold, always saw the good in everyone, very giving, she was more then just an aunt she was a friend. I will greatly miss her and her beautiful smile. I know the terrible impact her passing will have on my family and my heart breaks for them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Also, one of the most awesome cooks I have ever met.

I couldn’t wait to see you when you came to visit.... I’m so blessed to have known you and the wonderful mother and woman that you were. A quintessential woman, beautiful inside and out, that brought a full measure of peace and joy to any gathering. I’ll miss you and always wish we could have spent more time together....

You always welcomed me with open arms into your home and always had a beautiful smile just like Laurie has. You were my Aunt Isabel's friend growing up. Please give my dad Aunt and everyone a big hug for me until we meet again. Thank you for always being so kind to us girls. Amen

I grew up on 8th street. Long Island City was a much different community. Much more of an extended family than it seems today. Elaine was Diane and Laurie’s Mom when I first came to know her. Of course her family grew. To me as a kid, she was kind and maternal. She carried herself as a quality person. No one ever said or could say anything negative about her. My mom is 78 and her health has been a challenge after cancer. Carolyn Casey, is also saddened and sends her prayers to Elaine and her family. May Christ keep her until we all meet again.

I remember your mom the first time I met her in LIC. Sal was showing me around his neighborhood and Elaine was walking down the sidewalk. She was very welcoming and talked about all of her kids in the most affectionate manner. I could tell from our first meeting that she loved her family more than anything. You were all very fortunate to have such a caring, loving mother. I know you appreciated her in life. Living her example honors her memory. Our thoughts are with you all❤️

Mrs. B was one of the most important women in my life. She was like a 2nd mom. On a Sunday, her dining room table was a special place and there was always a seat for whichever stray wandered in (me). I'll always cherish speaking with her on the phone a few weeks ago when she just popped into my mind and I decided to call from Germany. After the 45 minute call I told my kids story after story of Mrs B's cooking and her LONG lectures she used to give me. A million hugs and prayers to the Branca's. Love you Mrs B.
