Obituary of Olga Tudisco
Olga Tudisco, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Loving wife of Michele Tudisco. Sister of Maria, Grazia, Ponziano, Incoronata, Antonetta and the late Prospero Moffa. Beloved Mother of Leonardo, Salvatore and Maria. Devoted Grandmother to Michael, Valentina, Isabella, Anthony, Sophia, Santino and Giuliana. Loving mother-in-law to Sheila, Stacey and Ralph.
Olga was born on June 27, 1939 to the late Salvatore and Lucietta Moffa in Troia, Italy. She grew up in this small, idyllic town in southern Italy, where she spent many days working on the family farm along with her siblings. Olga had wonderful memories of her childhood growing up in Troia and was very close to her family. She met and married Michele at the young age of 21. Michele's family had emigrated to America, and Olga and Michele decided to join them in 1967.
Olga was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She was cherished by her family and all that knew her. She comforted us in hard times, and while doing so, was the most caring and selfless person you would ever want to meet. She was a devout Catholic, whose faith got her through some very tough times in her life. She loved to cook and was known for her incredible homemade pasta dishes. Though having many wonderful qualities, her dedication to her children stood out above all else. She will be sorely missed.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 at the Park Funeral Chapel, Garden City Park, New York, 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. The funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Brooklyn, New York at 10:30 am, Thursday July 26th, 2018.
