He is predeceased by the love of his life Anne Marie, his wife of over 50 years. Beloved father of Mary & Michael Oporto, Jean, Edward, Anne Marie, Barbara & Paul Proietto, Carol, James & Meg, Catherine & John Benson, Alice & Tom Rockensies. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Bridget, Michael, Kurt, Devin, Liam, Ian, Matthew & Caroline. Loving Brother of Daniel & Francis, also the late George, William, John, James, Patrick, Mary, Joseph & Michael. He leaves behind hundreds of endearing nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday Morning 11:00 AM St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hempstead, NY. Interment The Evergreens Cemetery.
