I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Felicia. I will always remember her as a very gentle and caring person. Growing up, my brother, sister and I would always look forward to her visiting us in our home in Flushing, NY.
That was so long ago.
While we unfortunately lost touch over the years, those early memories of my father's family will remain with me always.
My deepest sympathy to all of you.
May she rest in peace.

When my husband I rented a house in Glendale Queens, I have never expected our landlord and his mother to be such a wonderful and caring people. Sal Lupo was so kind to our family in so many ways, and his mother Mrs. Lupo, as we referred to her, was just a true treasure. I just lost my own mother just before meeting Mrs. Lupo and she was a true god send to me. Though I did not speak a word of Italian, we communicated just fine over the next 8 years we lived next to each other. She would bring such delicious dishes to my family and I learned so much about cooking and recipes from her.
One great memory I have of Mrs. Lupo and myself was our Brooklyn shopping trip we had together. I drove, she was my co-pilot. From Glendale to Ridgewood Brooklyn I followed her directions to a tee. We shopped at several Italian markets, butcher and bakery. From fresh olives, pasta, bread and the finest veal cutlets to be found. It was a shopping excursion of a lifetime. We came back and she showed me how to prepare and marinate sun dried tomatoes. It was half the cost and twice the amount. When I make spaghetti pie, marinate sun dried tomatoes or eating Easter bread, I always have a fond memory of you Mrs. Lupo.
God Bless you Mrs. Lupo! Thank you for touching my family and my memories. May you rest in eternal peace and love, God be with you.
With Loving Memories,
Deidre, Chuck, Danielle & Nicole.
