Obituary of Enrico B. Nicolini
Enrico Nicolini passed away peacefully on May 8 at the age of 92 just one month short of his 93rd birthday. The youngest of five, Ricky was born and raised in Corona Queens to immigrant parents from Palermo, Sicily.
He met his wife Mary on a blind date. While dating, he enlisted into the Army Air Corp where he served as waist gunner bombardier on the B24 Liberator during WWII.
Following his return after the war, he and Mary married and one year later started a family having two daughters and son.
Following a 30 year career in the jewelry casting manufacturing business, he opened Imperial Locksmiths Inc. with his son and nephew which 40 years later still exists.
He was married to his wife Mary for 64 years until her passing in September of 2010.
He is survived by his children, Patricia, Bridgette, Rick, his wife Kathy, grandchildren, Deana, her husband Ken, Doug, his wife Nicole and Marianna, great grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Alexander, Tylah, Arianna and Kylie.
