I have been looking on and off for Bettina for 40 years. We went to St Leo’s College together. I had many trips from DC to NY to see Bettina. I introduced her to a few males in our 20’s and she would tell me who she thought I should go out with. She taught me “street smarts” and introduced me to the best pizza I have ever had. She was funny and we laughed all the time when together. I wish I had found you sooner to give you a big hug. God Bless and God Speed, Bettina❤️

I sat and said let me try to find Bettina and maybe we can get together and catch up on our lives lived so far. I went to St Nicholas High School with her. She was one of my best friends but our lives took different directions. I ofter thought of her and her mother and father and the days we spent in the bakery eating pasta in the back. I helped her with her duties so she could leave a little early. We had such good times. I looked for her on facebook but didn't find her.
I remember, while I was working in NYC, I was crossing Park Ave and I heard someone yelling to the top of their lungs "Candy", that is what my friends called me. It was Bettina. I was so happy to see her and I think she felt the same since she was almost jumping out of the car untiil she actually got to me. We said we would keep up, but somehow we didn't.
Just now, I thought, I am going to contact her and this time we will meet. When I saw this, well the tears are still runnig down my face. I thought she would always be there, at least as long as I was.
Bettina, I will miss the time we would have had catching up.
Your Friend
PS My funniest memory was smoking one of her brothers cigars together when he was home visiting. Boy, did we both get sick. lol Bettina, we were just kids exploring the world

God Bless the Finocchio family, especially my cousin John, so very sorry for the loss of your life long best friend and sister, wishing you peace. Bettina you have touched many lives! I have memories of you and your family growing up in the bakery! I know your mom and dad are welcoming you, however, much too soon! We were so thrilled to see your surprise visit at my dads 80th birthday gathering! Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathy to my dear Cousin Lu and all of Bettina's family. I always looked forward to spending time with Bettina and Lu on all my NY visits. Meeting for lunch and catching up was always a fun time. I will truly miss you Bettina and I will always think of you when I go to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. Maybe it is served in Heaven.

Bettina was one of the kindest, warmest and most genuine person I've ever met - she was this way even to strangers! And she was a hoot :) I feel very blessed to have known her throughout my life. God bless her, Lu and the rest of her beautiful family during this difficult time.
Miss you Bettina. Sad you left us, but so happy you're no longer in pain.

Very sad news to hear. Bettina and I go back to the first grade in St. Teresa's in 1955. Haven't seen her in years but we were on FB, and we talked sometimes. Now I am very sorry I missed the reunion that they had in Bar 43 last year. Sorry I wasn't able to make it to see her. Good Bye old friend.

I went to St. Nicks High School with Bettina. What great times it was. She was always fun to be with, always a smile on her face. So sad to
hear about her passing. We shared many stories during our years at St. Nicks.
God Bless her soul, may she rest in peace knowing that she is now in God's care. My deepest sympathy to her entire family.

my deepest condolences on your loss to the Finocchio Family be as well as you can and try to hold on to the thought that the value of a life is much like the value in the richest, wisest book. Great joy is had in reaching the end and never for a moment does a life lose its meaning for passing.
